I must say I am a bit surprised by how long the fall colours are lasting this year… and having said that, Anne and I recently spent some time with Megan and Denis who live in Toronto. Megan is originally from Stratford, so they decided to come “home” for their engagement session.
For anyone who has been to Stratford, we are blessed with some *beautiful* parks and we were also fortunate to have great weather for most of the day.
Megan and Denis: you are wonderful people and we look forward to your wedding day. Enjoy the next few months and see you next summer!

A few days ago, Magda and Luke from London, Ontario decided to visit our fair city of Stratford to spend a couple of hours with Anne and myself for their engagement session. We had a leisurely time together strolling in the park – and when I asked Luke how he proposed to his lovely bride to be, he enlightened us with a reenactment of it (they are the shots in the video where is kneeling, amongst other things!).
Magda and Luke: we look forward to your wedding this fall and thank you once again for a great time together.

Anne and I stayed close to home in Stratford for the wedding of our two dear friends, Kyla and Rob. We had a great time with them several weeks ago at their engagement session – and sure enough, their big day was finally here!
They were married at Zion Lutheran Church in Stratford, Ontario in a lovely service. We had lots of time for photographs – before and after the ceremony. Stratford has numerous beautiful sites and parks – and we finally ended up at Gallery Stratford where the bridal party decided to shake things up a little and have a little (OK, a lot) of fun.
Kyla and Rob: you are two of the kindest and most beautiful people we have ever had the pleasure of knowing and photographing. We are proud to call you our friends. Your families and friends are equally lovely and it is so wonderful to see that you have so many amazing people in your lives. We wish you much joy and happiness in life. Love each other, talk to each other, “be” with each other. I have no doubt there will be a lot of laughter in your lives.
Much love to you both. Namaste.

Anne, Dave and I spent last weekend in Stratford at Martha and Roger’s wedding. They had a small, intimate wedding at their home here in town and needless to say it was a fabulous event! We did manage to sneak away from the house for a bit to Shakespearean Gardens for a few shots with the family and bridal party.
Martha and Roger: You are wonderful people and thank you for your hospitality – and for the honour of documenting your wedding day. We wish you much joy and happiness in your life together.

If Anne and I keep laughing as much as we do during our engagement sessions with our clients, our stomachs will be really sore by the end of the summer!
This week we spent some time closer to home in Stratford with Kyla and Rob. Needless to say we spent much of that time laughing and having fun in general. Kyla is a graduate student and is originally from our fair city – Rob interned as a minister here at Zion Lutheran Church (where they will be getting married).
We started out at the beautiful Shakespearean Gardens, moved onto the fabulous restaurant and bar, Down The Street… then finished off with a leisurely stroll through town.
Kyla and Rob – you are wonderful people and it will be an honour photographing your wedding this summer. Thank you for such a great time together.

Anne and I recently spent the afternoon in beautiful Stratford (I know, I am biased since I live here) with Michelle and Lucci from Kitchener-Waterloo. They are getting married in August and chose Queen’s Park and the Avon River to have their engagement images taken.
We had a great time with them… and we really look forward to their wedding. Michelle and Lucci: see you a few (short) months!
