Anne and I along with guest photographer, Joel Robertston, witnessed an absolutely beautiful (and elegant) wedding day with Vivian and Vincent. A few short weeks ago, I also spent some time with them during their engagement session – they are a very playful (and fun!) couple so I was really looking forward to photographing their wedding.
Our day started early in both Scarborough and Richmond Hill where we had a few games (aside to Vincent: you are a really good sport) followed by two Chinese tea ceremonies at their parents’ homes.
After Vivian had a change of gowns, we went to St. Agnes Kouying Tsao Catholic Church in Markham for a really lovely service. Mother Nature decided to stop the rain we had in the morning and since we had lots of lovely sunshine, the bridal party headed out to The University of Toronto for a few photographs and a lot of fun.
On the way to the reception, we took a small detour… Vivian was invited to Vera Wang’s boutique in Yorkville. She had her dress created there and the staff were very kind in allowing us to showcase Vivian and her lovely gown in their shop.
At the fabulous Four Seasons Hotel in Yorkville/Toronto (where they had their reception), people mingled and simply enjoyed each other’s company. After a wonderful meal, Vivian and Vincent moved into the theatre for a few games… and judging from everyone’s laughter, they had more than a good time.
Vivian and Vincent: You are two of the kindest and most gracious people on the planet. We truly appreciated your hospitality and how well you and your families treated us. May you have an absolutely wonderful life together and we send you nothing but our best wishes.

Anne, Sheila and I had the pleasure of photographing Kennie and Stephen’s recent wedding in Toronto. I spent some time with them last year during their engagement session and we had a wonderful time together – so needless to say, I was looking forward to their wedding day.
The day started out with Stephen coming to pick up Kennie at her hotel suite in Markham … but he had to pass a few “tests” before Kennie’s friends let Stephen see her (aside: Stephen, you are a good sport!). After their tea ceremonies, Kennie changed into her wedding gown and we headed down to Alexander Muir Park in Toronto for some more photography and a lot of fun.
The wedding and reception was held at Vaughan Estate of Sunnybrook – if you have not been there before, check it out sometime – it is an absolutely beautiful venue. Mother Nature did cooperate with us as it was an outdoor wedding – at least the rain started after the ceremony was over! I don’t have to tell you that everything was beautiful and the food superb… you can see that for yourself in the slideshow. Overall, Kennie and Stephen had a fabulous wedding day!
Kennie and Stephen: Anne, Sheila and I wish you nothing but joy and happiness in your life together. You and your families are incredibly gracious people and we thank you for your hospitality.

Anne and I along with our friend, Ralph Heinze, ventured to the north part of Toronto for Tracy and Hubert’s wedding. I met them last summer at Khristine and Jed’s wedding as Tracy was one of Khristine’s bridesmaids. So needless to say, we were thrilled to have Tracy and Hubert ask us to capture their wedding day.
The day started off with Hubert arriving at Tracy’s house to pick her up in their limousine. He somehow convinced the bridesmaids to allow him to see his lovely bride (after handing over some money and doing a few pushups!) … and so they continued on with the rest of their day.
We then headed off to Heintzman House in Thornhill for a few family/bridal party images (and a lot of fun) before going to the church for their nuptials. After a very lovely ceremony, we spent the rest of the evening at the Diamond Banquet Hall in Markham for their Chinese Tea Ceremony … and for a fantastic meal and reception.
Tracy and Hubert: Thank you so much for sharing your day with us … you and your families are wonderful people and we truly appreciated your hospitality. We wish you much happiness, joy, love and peace in your life together.

Anne and I had the pleasure of spending some time with Melaina and Marlon a few months ago during their engagement session… and sure enough, time flew by and we saw them again… this time, at their wedding!
Melaina is currently on assignment (with work) in Geneva, Switzerland and Marlon hails from Toronto – their wedding and reception took place at the beautiful Markham Historic Museum. We also had the pleasure of working with our friends at Platinum Events who were the planners for the wedding.
Melaina and Marlon: Anne and I wish you much happiness and joy in your life together. Enjoy your time in Switzerland and come home soon… I am sure your friends and families miss you! Many blessings to you both.

This past week, Anne and I had the pleasure of spending some time Candida and Joseph (Joe) of Toronto. They are getting married this July and chose the lovely town of Unionville, Ontario for their engagement session. Good thing the weather cooperated with us!
One thing all of my couples have in common – they love to laugh and have a great time – and Candida and Joe are no exception. Needless to say, Anne and I did our fair share of laughing too… they are a lot of fun to be around.
Candida and Joe: you were fabulous to work with and we look forward to capturing your wedding. See you soon!
