One of the greatest things about my hobby job as a wedding photographer is that I often get to spend time with children. And, I love children.
Children are amazing to watch… I could spend hours doing that as I believe there is a lot we can learn from them: how to play, how to laugh and how to enjoy life.
So, next time you are in the company of children, be an observer… you’ll be amazed at what you see! Maybe you can join them …
We have sold almost 200 copies to date! Thank you for your support. It is a limited edition photography book with only 1,000 copies in print, so, we still have a few more to sell.
If you know anyone who might like a copy, I kindly request that spread the word about this project (you can click the “mail” icon on this post to email copy of this post to them). Remember, 100% of the profits (plus a government matching grant) will donated to Plan Canada (founded in 1937 as Foster Parents Plan) and the funds will be directed to projects that support African children impacted by AIDS.
Please click here if you want a preview or to order a copy online. You can also call toll free at +1.888.301.0829 (or +1.416.618.7957 in Toronto) to place your order. The cost is $CAD 49.99 plus tax (about $USD 42.00) and all major credit cards or cheques are accepted as payment.
On behalf of myself, Plan Canada and the children, thank you again for your support of this cause!
Last year, I started offering a new service – A Day in Your Life Sessions. The whole idea is to document your family for a day each year… eating together, playing together, and doing just about everything else … together! This is something we do annually so that you can have a permanent record of your children as they grow up (and they grow up quickly).
My friends (and former wedding clients) Mel and Adrian just had a beautiful little girl – Evelyn. So we spent a day together with my camera.
All of the images in this post are from our day together. And – if you would like to see what their final album looked like, you can take a peek here.
Mel, Adrian and Evelyn – thank you for such a great day!
One of the things I absolutely love about being a wedding photographer is watching (and photographing) children at weddings. Not just the flower girl and ring bearer… all children. They are such a joy to watch … and some of them can be such rascals too! I adore how they play, don’t care if anyone is watching (sometimes to their parents’ dismay!) and are so carefree all the time. Maybe we adults can learn a thing or two from them.
I will keep this post simple as I want to share a small number of images of children I’ve photographed at weddings.
