Christiana and Taso’s Engagement
I recently had the honour of spending some time with Christiana and Taso – two really lovely people who decided to come our fair city of Stratford for the their engagement session. They will be getting married early next year and it was wonderful to get to know them a little better after corresponding via email for almost a year! They are two of the most patient people around… we’ve had to postpone our session several times due to inclement weather and as you can see in the slide show, Mother Nature was very kind to us during their session.
Christiana and Taso: It was wonderful to spend some time with you and I send you lots of love and happiness – I know your wedding will be a very joyous event and that you will enjoy it to its fullest. Congratulations on finding each other (gotta love Greek school!)

Hi Roel,
The images are so beautiful and it is amazing how gorgeous the B/W photos look! We’ve directed so many of our friends and family to your blog and we have received nothing but incredibly nice feedback. Everyone I’ve spoken to says that you have a true talent in photography and that you have an eye in producing beautiful images.
Thank you again for making this a magnificent experience. It is more than I ever could have dreamed of!
Best Regards,
Christiana
These pictures are so beautiful and fabulous! I love the scenery and the way you’ve captured their love for each other through a photographic lens! Excellent work!

Beautiful images!
It was about 5:55 P.M. when I logged onto my email account to see another notice from Canada Post. My package was waiting at the nearby post office for pick-up. I guess we missed the mailman. I pick-up my bag and get my coat. It’s pouring outside. I slip my hand into my right pocket where my key lies. I run towards the car and with precision, slip the key right into the door lock. It opens and I swing inside. Key goes right into the ignition. The music begins to blare and the engine roars to life. I’m on my way. Can’t wait.
I stroll into the Shoppers Drug Mart where the nearby post office is housed. I anxiously approach the counter with my I.D. in hand. I place it on the counter in front of the clerk’s register.
“May I help you?” says the clerk with her back towards me. She turns around. “Yes, I’d like to pick up my package,” I say. With that, she picks up my I.D. and starts tapping her fingers on the keyboard. “Ahh, yes! It has arrived. One moment, please.” She heads through the saloon doors and comes back out with my package. It’s huge.
I’m back in my car. My heart starts beating faster. I can’t wait to see the actual proofs- the masterpieces. With my key, I stab the tape that seals the box to break it open. I see some red through the cracks. What could it be? I reattempt to stab the tape. The lids break open; its tissue paper, red tissue paper – Loads of it. I fling them out of the box and place them on the empty car seat next to me. Wow. “Roël Photography”, graces the front side of the black paper gift bag in silver writing.
Cool.
I open the bag and in it is a small black box with similar print like the bag. I shake it. They must be in here, I think to myself. I pull the silver band and release the seal. I open the box and… THERE THEY WERE. All his work – Roël’s work. The most beautifully crafted images I have ever seen in my life. Every moment captured; every movement shown. I love Roël’s photography.
I rushed home to share my excitement with my family.

Roel, I had no other way to capture this experience, so, I decided to write a short story about it. Lunch break is over so I have to get back to work! It was fun writing and I hope you enjoyed reading it. Once again, you have surprised us with your stylish professionalism. Taso and I are so thankful to you. I want you to know that you have touched our hearts and we will forever be thankful to you. Best of luck with all your future endeavors.
Warmest Regards,
Christiana
