Alisha and Rickesh – The Wedding

It is my honour to feature the wedding of Rickesh and Alisha who were recently married at Bellagio in Vaughan, Ontario. I did an engagement session with them back in February which was a lot of fun – and the wedding was no different. I was assisted by my colleague and good friend, Dave Chang-Sang.
Most East Indian weddings include a Mendhi night – and this wedding was no different. Here is the lovely Alisha showing the beautiful work the henna artist did for her:

On the wedding day, both Alisha and Rickesh looked absolutely fabulous (actually, they always look fabulous)…

They had two different wedding ceremonies which were both very beautiful. First was the Hindu ceremony:

And next was the Ismaili ceremony:

And now, the newly married couple!

The reception was equally beautiful – it featured Rickesh and Alisha’s first dance as husband and wife… and they were later joined by Bhangra dancers…

Alisha and Rickesh – thank you for your kindness and sharing such a wonderful experience with myself and Dave. We wish you nothing but joy, love, laughter and happiness.
If Alisha and Rickesh have given you access to their online gallery, you can access it at www.roelphoto.com (5th option).

Karen and Vic – The Engagement »

When it comes to planning a wedding, it’s crucial to decide what is most important to you. We felt that the memories would be just as important (if not more so) than the wedding day itself, so we were committed to finding the perfect photographer to capture our day. While searching around for photographers, we met some from all ends of the spectrum, but no one we felt comfortable with trusting as our wedding photographer. Our first meeting with Roël was a refreshing treat… we felt fully at ease… there was an instant rapport and level of trust.
On the day of the wedding, Roël and his colleague were fun to work with and captured all of the important moments – especially the details which we worked so hard to put together. For candid shots, you didn’t even know he was there. For formal shots, he was able to get everyone in the right place for the key shots and have them looking great. Our photos turned out beautifully, and when we saw them, it further confirmed that we had made the right choice with Roël. We wholeheartedly recommend Roël to anyone whether they’re getting married or just want a great photographer to capture any special event or moment!
